EPE at AWEA WINDPOWER 2017. Visit us at BOOTH #3245-Anaheim, California

May 22-25, 2017
Electric Power Engineers, Inc.

At times, it’s hard to notice such tremendous shifts in the industry but as we attend AWEA 2017, it becomes quite vivid. Wind generation is now mainstream and an established industry.

At Electric Power Engineers, Inc., we are proud to be the go-to engineering firm for wind developers not only in Texas but across the United States, and internationally. From feasibility studies, interconnection, design and market studies, all the way to NERC Compliance, Electric Power Engineers, Inc. can deliver a wide variety of engineering solutions.

We can’t help but reflect on the first wind-focused conference Electric Power Engineers, Inc. attended which was held in its entirety at the Hyatt in Austin! And it seems like yesterday when EPE was the first in the United States to validate and model the feasibility of adding 3,000 MW of renewable energy into the grid! Shortly after, Electric Power Engineers, Inc. designed the integration of the first wind farm in Texas. Then…there was a BOOM!

Even though it is now typical to see tens of thousands of people coming together in support of the industry, take the time to stop by our BOOTH #3245 - where we would love to see you!

Today, wind, solar, energy storage, and modern grid designs are the mainstream. It’s no longer a dream of a few, it is a reality for millions of people. For people like us, people like you, your neighbors and your local markets, wind power is a part of our everyday lives whether you know it or not.

Letter from TREIA President Hala N. Ballouz

Wednesday, June 4, 2014
Electric Power Engineers, Inc.

from the president....

TREIA valued members,

We put out the call and you responded by filling the room for TREIA's 30th anniversary luncheon on May 22nd. The event was remarkable and it was uplifting to find the same heart that built the Texas renewable energy industry still beating strong and ready for continued growth. The discussion exemplified how we are ready to work together toward a bright future for TREIA and renewables in Texas.

Our Vice President Mark Walker (NRG), board member and membership chair Melissa Miller (Miller Wind) and I had the pleasure to present our vision, and get feedback from the member quorum present. The unanimous vote from them to approve the proposed amendments to the bylaws sets the cornerstone for TREIA to step into the role of an Alliance. By approving the changes, 5 new board member seats have been created to expand our alliance to other organizations and their members. This will allow TREIA to serve as the hub for the alliance of renewable energy organizations.

Today, yesterday and tomorrow, with the charged environment in upcoming elections and legislation, renewable energy industries and their success is coming under fire. We will need to put our arms together and launch marketing campaigns, educational papers, press releases, and take other steps that will not only block these attacks, but also be proactive in setting the record right.

We will be working with our sister organizations to show a united front. If you want to help and participate, please contact me to be part of the effort at this critical stage in our history to preserve renewable energy growth, and shape the role of the Texas Renewable Energy Industries Alliance.
