Austin, Texas (November 7, 2022) – Electric Power Engineers (EPE) of Austin is among the top 100 companies from around the world selected for the 18th annual Aggie 100™ which honors the fastest-growing companies owned by former students of Texas A&M University. EPE was recognized as number 85 with a compound annual growth rate of 40.417%. The Aggie 100 is founded and sponsored by the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship at Texas A&M University.
EPE is a consulting firm comprised of leading electrical engineering consultants focused on the energy transition, providing power systems engineering services to a diverse client base. Founded in 1968, EPE has been a trusted partner to the power industry by providing extensive experience in the evolution of the electric grid, from performing transmission and distribution planning studies to integrating renewable generation and energy storage. EPE leaders and Aggie alumni Hala Ballouz (’89), Hugo Mena (’05), and Billy Yancey III (’10) were named 2022 Aggie100 Honorees. “It’s an honor to receive such a prestigious award from my alma mater,” said Hala Ballouz. “I am so proud of the Electric Power Engineers team for contributing all of the hard work and dedication that has allowed us to place in the Aggie 100 for a sixth year in a row.”
The 100 Aggie-owned companies with the highest compound annual revenue growth from 2019 to 2021 were recognized at a formal celebration at the Hall of Champions at Texas A&M University’s Kyle Field on Nov. 4, 2022. The honorees were joined in celebration by family, friends, employees, faculty, administrators, current students and fellow entrepreneurs.
