EPE representatives will attend the Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA)’s Spring Conference on April 16 – 17, 2024, in Houston, TX.

Since 1983, GCPA has served Texas and the Gulf Coast as a regional electric power trade organization dedicated to promoting an improved understanding of the issues and opportunities impacting contemporary power markets. The GCPA Spring Conference is the organization’s leading electric power conference for the ERCOT/Gulf Coast region.

EPE President and CEO, Hala Ballouz, will moderate a panel of four fellow industry leaders at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, April 17. Hala and the panelists will discuss the topic of “Transmission: The Key to a Reliable, Cleaner Energy Future.”

Having a robust transmission network in place will be necessary in order for the U.S. to achieve a more sustainable, yet reliable future. While there has been progress towards this goal, many obstacles still exist in getting transmission approved, cost allocated, and facilities constructed. The panelists will share their experiences and challenges associated with the development of transmission, including how recent developments and programs have impacted their efforts.

You can join EPE in Houston by registering for the conference.
