Representatives from EPE will attend RE+ Texas from April 5 – 6 in Austin, Texas.

RE+ Texas attracts energy professionals from across the solar and storage markets each year to facilitate business. Featuring two days of exhibition, a robust education schedule, and networking opportunities, RE+ offers an opportunity for attendees to hear from visionary leaders on what’s next for the Texas clean energy market and propel their businesses to the next level.

EPE Vice President of Technical Services and Compliance, Billy Yancey, will speak on a panel titled “DER Integration and Program Design” at 4:15 PM on Wednesday, April 5. He will also participate in a breakout session roundtable discussion on the same topic at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 6.

EPE Transmission Planning Manager, Reena Bhatt, will give a talk titled “The Generation Mix is Changing: Is the Texas Grid Ready?” from 2:15 – 3:15 on Wednesday, April 5. Texas continues to see strong demand growth due to the increased population as well as the increased presence of large flexible loads such as data centers, bitcoin mining, and hydrogen electrolyzers. Is the Texas grid ready? What opportunities are there to address Texas’ electric system constraints and needs? Part one of this conversation will focus on transmission and planning strategies.
