Designing Your System
The fundamental first step toward a successful generation or energy storage project is the preparation of a detailed system design that meets all applicable codes and regional standards and that demonstrates compliance with all regulations. But that is only the starting point. In order to truly provide best-in-class system design services, the engineering team must have a strong understanding of codes and regulations (i.e. the minimum requirements), but also the experience to understand and proactively address unknown field conditions and interfaces that do not always show up on paper. Trust Electric Power Engineers with system design.

SolaireHolman 1 Solar Project
First, EPE performed a transmission export analysis and kicked off the interconnection process for this project with the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) by completing and submitting the necessary applications and interconnection study data. Secondly, EPE prepared substation and transformer specification documents, evaluated the bids, and assisted in awarding the contracts. EPE then acted as owner’s engineer and provided technical support in reviewing the drawings and studies and requested changes as applicable to ensure the project met all requirements. Currently, EPE is providing engineering support for testing and commissioning.
