Background

Atura Power (Atura) is a subsidiary of Ontario Power Generation (OPG) that plays a pivotal role in Ontario’s electricity system by generating safe and reliable electricity. Atura is preparing to participate in Ontario’s evolving electricity marker under the IESO’s Market Renewal Program (MRP). Atura engaged EPE to provide expert guidance and analysis.

The program introduces enhances energy and capacity market mechanisms, which require generators to assess their market participation strategies to remain competitive and maximize revenue opportunities.
