EPE is the first company to win Texas A&M University’s esteemed Aggie 100™ award 8 times in a row. The award places EPE among the top 100 fastest-growing companies from around the world owned or led by former students of Texas A&M University. At this year’s 20th annual Aggie 100™, EPE was recognized as number 39 with a compound annual growth rate of 63.31%. The Aggie 100 was founded and is hosted by the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship at Texas A&M University.
EPE leaders and Aggie alumni Hala Ballouz (’89), Hugo Mena (’05), and Billy Yancey III (’10) were named 2024 Aggie 100™ Honorees. “Becoming the first company in history to win this distinguished award from my alma mater for the 8th year in a row is a profound honor for EPE,” said Hala. “I am so proud of each of our teams at EPE for their hard work this year to support our rapid growth and success. Together, we’re igniting possibilities for a brighter future. We continue to partner with A&M to deliver cutting-edge research and support innovations at the university’s Smart Grid Center with our ENER-i.AI Energy Intelligence platform.”
The 100 Aggie-owned or -led companies with the highest compound annual revenue growth from 2021 to 2023 were recognized at a formal celebration at the Hall of Champions at Texas A&M University’s Kyle Field on Oct. 4 where the program also looked back on its twenty years. The honorees were joined in celebration by family, friends, employees, faculty, administrators, current students, fellow entrepreneurs and even past Aggie 100 honorees.
“While we celebrate two decades of Aggie 100 this year, we give equal celebration to the 100 companies and 144 individual honorees in the Aggie 100 Class of 2024,” Blake Petty ’98, executive director of the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship said. “It’s a momentous year for Aggie 100 and a momentous year for each of these Aggie leaders.”
“Much like many of these companies began as a spark of an idea, so did this program. And like the companies whose growth we celebrated this year and across the past twenty years, this program, too, has experienced growth in many forms. After twenty years, Aggie Entrepreneurs continue to stand apart from the rest and show up for their companies, their communities, the economy, their families and our university.”
