Benjamin Lee is a results-driven leader with 16 years of experience in the electric utility sector, including over a decade in key leadership roles. He currently serves as Vice President of Distribution Planning and Grid Modernization at Electric Power Engineers (EPE), where he leads teams that partner with utilities across North America to plan, design, and modernize the distribution grid in support of the energy transition. Previously, Ben served as Director of Distribution Planning and Grid Modernization, where he focused on equipping utilities to meet the challenges of decarbonization and increasing grid complexity with strategic and forward-thinking approaches.
Prior to EPE, Ben spent over 13 years working at Southern California Edison where he held various engineering and leadership roles within Distribution System Planning, Grid Modernization, and Integrated System Planning. Throughout his career, Benjamin has distinguished himself as a strategic thinker, adept at developing long-term visions and guiding teams to execute ambitious yet achievable roadmap. He combines his foundation as a trained engineer with his extensive leadership experience to bridge the gap between technical initiatives and overarching strategic objectives seamlessly. He has a passion for grid innovation and a focus on organizational excellence, delivering solutions that drive sustainable growth and position the energy industry for long-term success.
Ben is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from California Baptist University.
